2020 was the year many of us wanted to start travelling…then we were hit with a global pandemic and international travel was restricted. Luckily for me, I was able to fly to Australia and vacation there for the entire month of February before the country locked down.
I booked my ticket with Hawaiian Airlines because 1) I wasn’t sure how I felt being on a plane for 15 hours straight, and 2) I’ve never been to Hawaii. (I chose to have a 36-hour layover in Hawaii on my flight back home — best decision EVER!)
Anyway, I landed in Sydney around 9PM and drove up to Brisbane the next morning. Why did I not land in Brisbane in the first place? I’m not sure, but it was a long and scary drive (lol). We were hit with very heavy rain for the majority of the 10-hour drive passing by the areas that were hit by the wildfires. It rained the majority of the time during my stay, but it was still an amazing experience. Here’s a not-so-little photoblog of my trip. 🙂
